My fingerprint won’t read - getting a BAD ID error

If you are having a hard time getting into your NarcBox because your fingerprint won’t read and/or the NarcBox is displaying BAD ID, try these things:
  1. Make sure your hands and are clean and dry.
  2. Make sure the biometric reader on your NarcBox is clean and dry. (an alcohol wipe works great)
  3. Please make sure that when you press your finger to the reader, one-two edges of your finger is on the silver frame of the reader.
  4. Please also make sure to place your finger in the same spot each time for enrolling your fingerprint and every time to access the NarcBox.
  5. You will also want to check with your Admin (NarcBox Account Admin) that you have access to that NarcBox by making sure that you are in the same group as this NarcBox in the online account.  If your PIN works on the NarcBox then you are in the same group.
  6. If possible, unlock the door with another access credential or method and press and hold the internal reset button (found inside behind the screen at the top of the security panel) for 10 seconds.  Allow the NarcBox to reload for 1 minute.  Or try our other Reset NarcBox Options.  Then sync the NarcBox by going into setting, when your WiFi logo is green press Sync. When you get the Sync OK, go back and try your fingerprint again.
If you are still having issues after trying all these things, please contact us for further assistance by calling 888-627-2269 (888-NARCBOX), emailing: support@narcbox.com, or you can also submit a ticket via this knowledge base section.
