PPAEMA Regulatory Compliance (CFR) - Administration & Disposal Report - § 1304.27(a)

1304.27(a) — Each emergency medical services
agency shall maintain records for each controlled substance administered or
disposed of in the course of providing emergency medical services.
These records must include:
Name of the controlled substance;
The date the substance was administered or disposed of;
Identification of the patient (if applicable);
Amount administered;
The last name or initials of the person who administered the substance;
The last name or initials of the medical director or authorizing medical professional issuing the standing or verbal order;
The amount disposed of (if applicable);
The manner disposed of (if applicable); and
The last name or initials of the person who disposed of the substance and one witness to the disposal.
To ensure you you get all the information required in the reports, you must set up a few items before you can start the initial process. All of these "Set Up" items must be in place before the transactions are done in order for the associated information will be able to populate into the reports properly.
Set Up Items
To ensure the (iii) Identification of the patient (if applicable) is tied to your report, please include the ePCR number as the 'Run#' to the Log Med Usage.
Transactions
The type of
transactions that will be included in this report are as follows: Log Med Use (via NarcBox, HQ, and Online Form) and Medication Retire/Remove (via HQ, and Online Form)
Exporting Reports
In your Export Center, Select the CFR Administer & Disposal Report - § 1304.27(a) Select your date range, interval, or month. And whether you would like to specify any NarcBoxes or HQs; Leave blank for All NarcBoxes and HQ's. Press Download.
Downloads
Open your downloads where they are set to be saved on computer and open the file.
