The NarcBox is capable of monitoring the temperature of the inside compartment and can send an alert if the internal temperature exceeds configurable limits. This alert will show up on the report log and trigger an email to be sent to admins who are set up to receive alert emails.

How to Enable Temperature Tracking

The NarcBox Temperature option is located under the Shift Change/Temperature tab in Settings.

Click the checkbox to enable temperature reporting and configure your limits. Configuration for temperature can either be in Fahrenheit or Celsius. The NarcBox will send an alert any time the temperature exceeds these presets (too hot or too cold) and show in your report log.

When you are done configuring your settings, press "Save" at the bottom of the page.

When your NarcBoxes complete their next sync (automatically within 12 hours, or by pressing "Sync" on the NarcBox), the settings will be updated and they will now be monitoring temperature.

Remember, in order for reports/alerts to come in live, the NarcBox must be powered on with a WiFi connection. If a NarcBox has been off external power more than a few days and the battery is dead, it can no longer send or log temperature reports. If the NarcBox is powered on but has no WiFi connection, it will record any temperature alerts to it's on-board storage and upload them to the website as soon as it has a network connection.
If you, as an account administrator would like an email alert as well, this can be set up under the Notifications and Alerts tab in Settings.
