When using Apple computers, StationStok prints labels directly in the application via Browser Print software. It is important to complete each step to ensure the driver and software is set up correctly to print to your label printer.
• Power on and Plug in your Zebra printer.
• Add Printer and Install CUPS Driver for Zebra Printer in Mac OS
IMPORTANT! Zebra suggests using the Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) driver on Mac OS X operating systems. The CUPS driver is pre-installed on Mac OS X operating systems. Therefore, it is not necessary to download and install an external provided driver for Zebra printers on Mac OS X.
Adding the Printer
1. Navigate to Printers and Scanners. (Found in System settings, search Printer if needed)
2. Click button on bottom right to 'Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax...'
3. On the new pop up screen, find the Zebra Technologies printer and select
4. In the Use section below, select 'Select Software'.
5. Another popup screen will appear, search Zebra and select 'Zebra ZPL Label Printer'. And press 'OK'.
6. The final setup should look a like the below. Press 'Add' to add the printer.
Logging into CUPS
1. You will be able to access the CUPS printer setting page by visiting the following link: http://localhost:631/printers/. You may also copy and paste it into your browser.
2. In some instances, you may encounter the following error:
3. To enable CUPS Control, select and copy cupsctl WebInterface=yes
4. Next, click the magnifying glass in the top right-hand corner of your screen and search for Terminal.
5. Then in the terminal, paste in cupsctl WebInterface=yes, and press enter.
7. Select your printer. 'Zebra_Technologies...'
8. Under the Administration drop down, choose 'Set Default Options'.
9. Under General for general printer settings. Set the settings accordingly:
Media size = set 2.25x1.25"
Resolution = 203dpi
Media tracking = Non-Continuous
Media Type = Printer Default
10. Press 'Set Default Options'.
11. You will get a confirmation screen.
12. Under the Maintenance drop down, Select 'Print Test Page'. Your printer will print.
Download Browser Print
*Each computer must use the request form to download Browser Print.
2. Read through their User License agreement and press 'Accept and Begin Download'.
3. The file will download onto your computer. (Possibly to your Downloads folder or where you have selected browser downloads to go to)
4. Double click the zip folder to unzip it. And double click or open the .dmg file.
5. Drag 'Browser Print' to Applications.
6. Open up your Applications in Finder and open Browser Print.
7. Press 'Open' to allow Browser Print to be used.
8. Press 'I Agree' for the End User License Agreement.
9. Press 'OK' for Browser Print Security Certificate.
10. You will get Browser window to pop up. Select 'Advanced'.
11. Press 'Proceed to localhost'.
12. You will received a Certificate accepted screen.
13. And a new popup to allow localhost to be added to your accepted hosts list. Press 'Yes'
14. Your Browser Print Settings will now show localhost under Accepted Hosts.
*The above Browser Print Settings can also be found when you open Browser Printer which can be found on the top right of your screen. Right click to get a drop down with options.
15. With the above steps completed, you can now print your Location and Product QR labels.
If your labels are printing too small on your printer, please go into Administration and Connected Devices. Enable the option to 'Force QR Label Printer to print full width' and Test.
