If you feel like the RFIDs for User Credentials, Medications, or Pouches aren't quite scanning right, it is a great idea to find the "sweet spot". To find the "sweet spot" on your NarcBox follow these steps:
- Go into the Settings, NarcBox Info and then Tech Info.
- Locate at the top of the screen "RFID Test Read:". This is where you will watch for the RFID number to appear.
- Slowly move the RFID up and down and side to side all across the rectangle section until it reads the RFID. Pay attention to where the RFID is when the RFID number appears.
- While doing this a few times, notice if the RFID number appears every time when the RFID is in one spot. Then check that this is indeed the "sweet spot" by putting the RFID right at the spot with out moving it around much. If the RFID number appears immediately then you have found the "sweet spot"! If it didn't read it then keep trying until you find that spot.
- Feel free to draw an X or a dot or put a sticker on the spot so that scanning RFID's is even easier!
An image below shows arrows where you should try moving your RFID around.
***If you are having trouble scanning a medication RFID label, try holding the medication vial sideways between two fingers (thumb and pointer). Slowly move the medication vial up and down across the RFID scanning area.
To find the "sweet spot" on your HQ panel you are going to do the same type of thing by following these steps:
- Go into the Settings and then Maintenance
- Locate in the top right corner of the screen "Current RFID:" . This is where you will watch for the RFID number appear. The RFID will light up in black font highlighted in blue.
- Slowly move the RFID up and down and side to side all across the rectangle section until it reads the RFID. Pay attention to where the RFID is when the RFID number appears on the HQ screen.

*Note for all devices with a biometric scanner, the RFID will always be above that scanner.
