It Updated but does not show a new Version/V number-
When you are updating your NarcBox, be sure to have the door open the whole time. When the box reboots to finish the update, it should show you a new version number on the blue screen (below the NarcBox Serial #) as it's finishing rebooting (ex: V 3.30.02 or Version 3.41.01). With the latest Firmware 3.41.01 it will also show you the Version of Firmware on the sleep screen. If it does not show a new number then this means the box did not do a full reboot. Simply press the internal reset button for a few seconds and let the box reboot. Once it is finished it should show an updated version number on the screen.
Clear Cache before update-
If you are trying to update your box and get a pop up telling you to clear your Cache before you update, this means that there is some data stuck on the box. With the door open, go into Settings, make sure WiFi is connected and press Sync. Once it has finished syncing press the internal reset button. While the box is rebooting, be sure to look at the blue reboot screen. Towards the bottom of the menu on the reboot screen, find 'Cache' and see what number is across from it. Repeat this process until the Cache number has reached zero. Once it reaches zero you will be able to update your box.
Black Screen after Update-
If you were updating your box and instead of finishing the update it simply turns off and is unresponsive, something didn't go right with the electronics during the update. This has happened a few times with our newer updates (has nothing to do with what you did as a customer while updating Firmware) and you will need you to send in the box for repair. Sometimes this happens because the box times out and decides not to work anymore. We will need to program it, update it ourselves and then we will send it back out to you. Sometimes there are parts that are also affected during this process that are in need of repair so it could take a bit longer. We will fix this issue for you and get it back as soon as we can.
