Enable/Set up Tracked Medication and Pouch

Enable/Set up Tracked Medication and Pouch

We have the option to track medications via Non-Tagged, Tagged, or Pouch.  If you chose to track via Pouch and/or Tagged Medications please contact us so we can enable your account for one or both of these features.  This is typically turned on during your first training session.

After this is enabled for your account, there are a few settings that you will need to adjust.

Notes
**Please make note that if you are tracking meds via non-tagged method and are transitioning to pouch and/or tagged meds tracking, you will need to remove/check out your non tagged medications from each NarcBox prior to enabling these settings on each NarcBox to ensure your back end count is correct.  (Process tip: Remove non tagged medications from field NarcBox, Turn on settings, Sync NarcBox to enable new tracking method.)

 1) In your Settings under Tracked Medication make sure to have the below enabled.
  1. Make sure that you select all options that you want for your usage of tagged meds. If you are tracking via Pouch, make sure to enable RFID Tagged Medication Pouches.
  2. Once selected scroll down to the bottom of the page and press Save.

2) When you scroll down on this same page after Saving you will see an image like the one below (if you don't see this, please refresh your page):

  1. You can choose to turn on Tracked Medications for specific devices only, if you are doing training or just getting things set up, by toggling the switch. Make sure to press Save at the bottom of the screen when you are done.
  2. You can also turn it on for all devices at once via the Enable RFID Item Tracking for All Devices button.
  3. You will need to do a sync and an internal reset on your boxes after these settings are turned on for the NarcBox to make the configuration change.

3) If you are going from Tagged Medications to Pouch tracking or doing both and haven't done either before, you will need to turn on some Pouch settings.  Under Settings go into the Pouch Settings tab.  Below is what the screen will look like:

  1. Similar to Tracking Tagged Medications, you can turn this feature on for specific devices by toggling the switch or turn on all of them via the Enable Medication Pouch Tracking for All Devices button.
  2. You will need to do a sync and an internal reset on your boxes after these settings are turned on for the NarcBox to make the configuration change.
